Concrete Decks

Salt Finish / Broom Finish
Both selections of concrete decks are categorized by the texture and method of installation. Broom finish decks are brushed with a broom as the concrete cures, giving it a brushed look. Salt, on the other hand, gets its name from the texture pits etched and created when rock salt is hand broadcast over the deck as it cures. Either surface can be enhanced with mixed in or topical color, as well as a variety of stains.

Exposed Aggregate
Exposed aggregate pebble decks can “jazz up” standard concrete decks by adding a beautiful layer of colored pebbles to traditional concrete textured surfaces. This pebble deck often enhances outdoor landscaping, including rocks, fountains, lagoons, ponds and waterfalls.

The concrete-based mix incorporates differently shaped and colored pebbles and stones, which rise to the surface once the concrete is applied. Adding 1/8th inch of hand seeded polished colored stones instead of using raw stone concrete blends in the mix results in a more comfortable walking area, with a more colorful appearance.

Stamped Deck
The most popular and desired of all concrete deck products is stamped concrete. It gets its name and texture from the many different stamp patterns, which a crew can press or “Stamp” into green curing concrete. A wide variety of colors and additional color releases are available to further enhance this product. Sealers are also available to give additional shine and durability to this product. It also provides the “Wet Look “that is very popular with some clients.
